It is my great pleasure to welcome you all to the International Congress on Innovations in Global Surgery, being held for the very first time in Africa. This conference brings to you various innovations like Wide Awake Local Anesthesia (WALANT) and Gas Insufflation Less Laparoscopic Surgery (GILLS) among several others which have proven to be frugal solutions towards problems faced by LMIC’s.
